Inactivation of COVID particles with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' enzyme-urea technology used to make the BIO CLEAN filter ensures that pollen, mold, bacteria and other allergens are filtered from the air and destroyed.

Recently, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has proven that when aerosol droplets containing SARS-CoV-2 land on the filter they are reduced by 99.998% after one hour. The tests conducted by the company were carried out according to the ISO18184 standard. This shows that the wall and floor models do not need any additional equipment or filters to actively help prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. If desired, it is possible to replace the odor filter for a BIO CLEAN filter, which doubles the surface to capture virus particles from the airflow.
