COP - STULZ answers

The Coefficient of Performance (COP) shows the ratio of the specified heating capacity (Qheat capacity) and the power input (Pelectric) of the system. In essence, the coefficient indicates how much heat can be generated by the equipment per kilowatt (kW).

It is important to note that the COP only relates to full-load operation. Here too: the higher the value, the more efficient the system.

A COP of 1, for example, means that just as much energy is consumed as the specified heating capacity, which is not efficient.

COP=Qheat capacity / Peletric
