PUE, CUE and WUE combination - STULZ answers

The combination of PUE, CUE  and WUE  enables data centre managers to quickly assess key sustainability aspects in their data centres, compare results and determine whether they need to make improvements in energy efficiency and/or sustainability.

Just like the PUE and CUE indicators, the WUE indicator also uses the known value of the IT load as a denominator.

Once the value of the IT load for PUE or CUE has been determined, the same value should also be used as the denominator for the WUE indicator.

All three indicators relate to the data centre’s operation, but not to the total environmental impact during the service life of the data centre and IT equipment.
